Role Description The Shift Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based at Cantina in Al Asimah, Kuwait. This role oversees day-to-day restaurant operations during assigned shifts, including managing the front-of-house team, coordinating with the kitchen, and ensuring all service standards are consistently met. The Shift Supervisor monitors guest satisfaction, addresses issues promptly, and supports smooth table turns and reservation flow. Responsibilities include training and coaching team members, managing shift handovers, and maintaining adherence to company policies, safety standards, and hygiene regulations. The role also supports inventory checks, cash handling, and reporting, while actively contributing to a disciplined, professional, and accountable team culture.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality operations, with prior supervisory or team leader responsibilities in a high-end or premium dining environment.
- Strong people management skills, including team scheduling, on-shift coaching, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and maintain a calm presence under pressure.
- Operational skills in cash handling, point-of-sale systems, basic reporting, and coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
- Commitment to high standards of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety, with attention to detail in following procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Previous experience in Italian or international cuisine and familiarity with fine or casual fine dining service are beneficial.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, collaborative attitude aligned with a performance-driven, training-focused culture.
