Primary Purpose Of The Job
The LNG Ship Contract Specialist plays a critical role in managing and negotiating LNG shipping and marine-related contracts for QatarEnergy's Marketing Directorate. This position ensures that all contractual obligations are met, risks are minimized, and commercial interests are protected. By overseeing compliance, performance reviews, and cost optimization, the role supports the smooth operation of LNG shipping activities and strengthens QatarEnergy's global reputation in the energy market.
Required Experience And Skills
- Minimum 8 years in the shipping industry with exposure to LNG shipping contracts and marine operations.
- Strong understanding of shipping contracts and performance mechanisms
- Ability to analyze OPEX budgets and contract terms
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with industry standards (IMO, OCIMF, SIGTTO)
Educational Qualifications
Class 1 Marine Certificate of Competency (Master Mariner or Chief Engineer) or a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marine Studies, or equivalent experience.
