Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end export of goods from UAE to GCC and Egypt, across land, sea, and air mode
- Liaise with freight forwarders to receive quotations, compare and confirm the cost, book space on vessels, arrange trucks to move the shipment to destination as per the required ETA
- Well-versed with exports from UAE to Egypt and experienced in managing import clearance in Egypt
- Well-versed with Egypt import regulations, documentation requirements, working on Cargo X and related systems
- Work with logistics service providers, brokers, verifying schedules to arrange documentation for seamless movement and clearance in Egypt and GCC across land, sea, air
- Well-aware of export rules from UAE to GCC
- Overseeing the dispatch of goods with completed documentation
- Maintaining trackers with movement milestones, clearance updates
- Examining shipping documents and check rates with freight forwarders for optimal cost and sailing schedule
- Recording shipping clearance requirements and bridging the gaps with any missing documentation
- Reviewing vendor invoices on storage, freight and clearance charges and submit for payment
- Providing information on customs tariffs, tariff classification and concessions, and methods of clearing goods
Eligibility Criteria:
- 5 years of directly managing imports from EU to UAE, exports to MENA from UAE
- Well versed with local regulations for imports into UAE
- Executed customs clearance for imports, aware of Dubai free zone regulations
- Able to liaise with forwarders and evaluate freight costs, manage international freight across all modes of transport
- Eye for detail, good understanding of processes
- Good excel skills, knowledge of MS Office
- Bachelors degree is mandatory.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English and Arabic.
Functional / Technical Competencies:
Solid background in data-driven analysis, KPI management, and logistics cost modelling. Strong Understanding of MS Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint
