GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate Simulation Computer Systems Technician is a technical position responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance of computer-based simulation systems with minimal assistance. This position will assist the Senior Technicians and Site Manager to troubleshoot and maintain the computer systems and peripheral equipment that are utilized within the program.
ESSENTIAL Responsibilities:
- Inform Senior Technicians and Site Manager about all technical issues and the current state of assigned training systems/ equipment.
- Assist in the performance of the daily readiness tests and keep accurate records of status in an ICLR (Interim Contract Logistics Report).
- Assist in running diagnostics to ascertain correct operations of computer systems and diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctions as required.
- Perform assigned scheduled preventative or corrective maintenance on assigned training systems/ equipment.
- Test and repair defective equipment, circuit cards, and power supplies.
- Perform system back-ups of SQL database files.
- Assist in maintaining records of system malfunctions, technical documentation and network architecture diagrams that reflect changes to the delivered system.
- Perform assigned configuration management on all Windows based stations on a network.
- Perform assigned system backup or updates
- Follow the appropriate direction of all Kratos leadership.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in engineering or IT field.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
- One (1) year of experience using the LINUX Operating System (OS)
- Must be Fluent in English
- Must be a Saudi National
Preferred:
- COMPTIA A+, Network+, and/or Linux+ Certifications.
- COMPTIA Security+
- CCENT Certification
- Knowledge of Naval Warfare Training System Simulation
