Role Description
Maamor is seeking a Design Implementation Architect to act as the design guardian on-site, ensuring that all construction and FF&E works are executed exactly as intended.
This role bridges design and execution, working closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain design integrity, control quality, and validate site progress throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all site work aligns with issued drawings, materials, and design intent
- Review contractor shop drawings and highlight deviations
- Conduct regular site inspections and report inconsistencies
- Coordinate with the design team on required adjustments
- Act as the main point of contact for site-related design queries
- Respond to RFIs in coordination with the design office
- Ensure proper implementation of finishes, details, and specifications
- Supervise on-site installation of furniture, lighting, and accessories
- Ensure correct placement, alignment, and finishing of all FF&E items
- Coordinate delivery schedules and installation readiness with suppliers
- Verify site conditions before installation
- Monitor workmanship quality for architectural and FF&E elements
- Ensure mockups and samples are approved before full execution
- Flag and resolve execution issues proactively
- Provide structured weekly reports including:
- Progress vs design
- Issues & risks
- Required decisions
- Verify that executed work aligns with approved BOQ quantities
- Review contractor invoices based on actual site progress
- Validate measurements before payment approvals
- Flag discrepancies between drawings, BOQ, and executed work
- Coordinate with internal teams on cost-impact changes
- Ensure no overbilling or scope duplication on site
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- 4–8 years of experience in fit-out / interior projects
- Strong understanding of FF&E detailing and installation
- Experience in site supervision and contractor coordination
- Ability to review drawings, shop drawings, and BOQs
- Basic understanding of quantities and cost validation
- Strong attention to detail and design sensitivity
