Role Description The Site Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. The role involves overseeing architectural execution on construction sites, ensuring that designs are accurately implemented and aligned with project specifications, codes, and quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, engineers, contractors, and consultants; reviewing drawings and shop drawings; conducting site inspections; and resolving design and technical issues in real time. The Site Architect will monitor progress, support integration between design and construction activities, prepare reports and documentation, and recommend practical design adjustments to maintain both aesthetic and functional integrity. The role also requires active participation in project meetings, adherence to safety and regulatory requirements, and support in delivering projects on time and within scope.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to translate concepts into practical, buildable solutions.
- Experience in Project Management, including coordination of stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables on active construction sites.
- Understanding of Integration between architectural design and related disciplines (structural, MEP, finishes) to ensure cohesive project execution.
- Familiarity with Software Development concepts as they relate to architectural tools and digital workflows (e.g., BIM, CAD platforms, design collaboration systems).
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field; professional licensure or registration is an advantage.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and strong technical drawing skills.
- Knowledge of local building codes, construction practices, and materials relevant to projects in Egypt.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site.
- Proven experience in site supervision or a similar architectural role within residential or mixed-use developments is preferred.
