Job Purpose:
Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of civil construction activities on-site, ensuring that works are implemented in accordance with project specifications, drawings, safety standards, and time schedules.
Main job duties and responsibilities:
- Execute civil works as per approved drawings, specifications, and timeframes.
- Monitor and inspect on-site activities to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and labor teams to ensure smooth workflow and proper sequencing of work.
- Support in the preparation of work schedules, progress reports, and resource requirements.
- Assist in resolving technical issues on site in coordination with the Senior Engineer and consultants.
- Check formwork, rebar, and concrete works prior to casting to ensure compliance with approved plans.
- Participate in inspections with consultants and clients and prepare related documentation.
- Ensure all materials used and work performed are in accordance with project specifications.
- Monitor material stock levels and report requirements to site management.
- Assist in enforcing health and safety regulations on site.
- Maintain organized records of site activities, drawings, and approvals.
- Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job's specialty.
Job requirements:
Educational background and previous experience:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering design, construction, and/or supervision.
