About the Role
NAGA is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Site Supervision team in Abu Dhabi. The role will be responsible for supervising daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, maintaining quality and HSE standards, and coordinating with contractors and project stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have strong UAE site supervision experience, particularly across residential, mixed-use, and villa projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise daily construction activities on site to ensure works are progressing in accordance with the approved programme.
- Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, materials, and project requirements.
- Carry out quality control inspections and ensure work is completed to the required standards.
- Enforce HSE requirements on site and intervene or stop unsafe practices where necessary.
- Coordinate with contractors and relevant project stakeholders to resolve technical and site-related issues.
- Conduct and coordinate inspections and testing, including:
- Concrete testing
- Soil compaction
- Reinforcement inspections
- Utilities testing
- Other relevant construction inspections
- Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Review and approve method statements and material submissions in accordance with project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Manage and follow up on RFIs and NCRs, ensuring issues are addressed and closed within the required timeframe.
- Coordinate with the Resident Engineer and project team to monitor progress, quality, and site requirements.
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation throughout the project.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum 10 years of experience, including significant experience in the UAE.
- Proven experience in site supervision within consultancy or construction environments.
- Experience working on residential, mixed-use, and villa projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, quality control, inspections, and site supervision practices.
- Good understanding of approved drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals.
- Strong coordination and communication skills with contractors and project stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues on site.
