Job Description

Job Summary

The Site Engineer – Joinery is responsible for supervising and coordinating all joinery installation works on site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision
  • Supervise and monitor all joinery installation works, including doors, wardrobes, cabinets, wall paneling, counters, furniture, and other custom woodwork.
  • Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate daily site activities with supervisors, subcontractors, and installation teams.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
Project Coordination
  • Review approved shop drawings and identify any discrepancies before execution.
  • Coordinate with the design, production, and factory teams to ensure timely delivery of joinery materials.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, and other trades to resolve site issues and avoid work conflicts.
  • Attend site meetings and provide progress updates to the Project Manager.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper storage and handling at site.
Quality Control
  • Ensure installed joinery meets approved specifications and company quality standards.
  • Identify defects or non-conforming work and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare snag lists and ensure timely completion of rectification works.
  • Support inspections with consultants and clients and obtain necessary approvals.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Maintain records of site activities, inspections, manpower, and material usage.
  • Assist in preparing work schedules and look-ahead plans.
  • Support project close-out activities, including as-built documentation and handover.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in joinery, interior fit-out, or woodworking projects.
  • Experience in supervising custom joinery installation works is preferred.
  • Valid UAE Driving License is an advantage.
