The Site Engineer Mechanical is responsible for supervising and executing mechanical works on site, ensuring compliance with design drawings, project specifications, authority regulations, and company HSE & QA/QC standards. This role reports to the Project Engineer- Mechanical and supports smooth execution of all mechanical activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor installation of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Drainage systems on site.
- Review shop drawings, drawings revisions, and ensure execution as per IFC drawings.
- Coordinate with the Project Engineer, consultants, contractors, and other disciplines (Civil/Electrical).
- Conduct inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
- Track material usage on site and report shortages or issues.
- Ensure adherence to company HSE, QA/QC, and site safety procedures.
- Maintain site documentation including daily reports, progress reports, and inspection records.
- Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Support the Project Engineer in resolving technical issues on site.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 37 years experience in MEP contracting or building construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Drainage systems.
- Knowledge of UAE authority regulations preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
