Site Engineer _ Mechanical/ ELectrical

Site engineer to perform a technical, organizational and supervisory role on MEP projects. A site engineer works as part of the site management team liaising with and working alongside supervisors, planners, designers, engineers, project manager, engineering managers, surveyors and subcontractors. They share responsibility for project progress, site security, health and safety, and the organization and supervision of material and human resources.

Project Execution: (mechanical)

1.     Good understanding of UAE Civil defence regulations.

2.     Good knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and firefighting installation and T&Cs.

Project Execution: (electrical)

1.     DEWA approvals and its coordination

2.     Good understanding of ADDC and DEWA regulations.

3.     Good knowledge of Electrical and lighting control systems installations and T&Cs

4.     Extensive knowledge of DM / civil defence / building & mall management authority regulations & drawing & execution work approvals procedures

5.     CAD and Drafting experience is a plus

6.     Material Take off based on the drawing and preparing a procurement schedule taking into consideration the project cash flows.

7.     Resource planning based on the project implementation plans for project completion within the targeted project tenure.

8.     Prepare the Redline MEP Drawings and validate with onsite conditions to help prepare a coordinated shop drawing across all services of MEP, IT and Audio Visual.

9.     Supervision of works at site, monitoring the progress for the timely completion of project and ensuring that proper quality is delivered to the works.

10. Ensure QA/QC procedures to be implemented meticulously.

11. Orchestrate with staff to ensure all HSE guidelines, rules and regulations are adhered to and that risks are avoided within the working environment.

12. Manage& coordinate between groups of in-house and sub-contracted engineering and construction personnel engaged in construction activities

13. Handing over procedures. (Completion certificates, Approvals from Civil Defence, Municipality etc)

14. Operations and Maintenance manuals and As-Built Drawing document submission.

Competencies:

3.     At least 4 years UAE market experience in Construction Company, Fitout firms, consulting firm as Resident Engineer or MEP engineer is preferable.

4.     Excellent organizational skill and Interpersonal Skills.

5.     Articulate and clear in explaining the objectives to the team that are managed.

6.     Excellent Knowledge of interrelation of HVAC and Electrical Disciplines, materials, technical and fit-out projects.

7.     Ability to handle multiple tasks and works under pressure.

8.     Good Administration skills.

9.     Handle conflicts or challenging situations confidently.

10. Ability to utilize available resources effectively.

11. Bachelor of Engineering/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Stream from reputed universities.

12. UAE driving license a must

13. Excellent industry knowledge into office and retail fit out. Knowledge of local construction market is also preferable.
