Site Manager Cable Projects

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager – Cable Projects to oversee the day-to-day site execution of HV power cable installation projects, particularly 132kV and above. The role will be responsible for coordinating site activities, manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and in accordance with quality and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day site activities for HV cable installation projects, including 132kV and above.
• Coordinate cable laying, pulling, jointing, termination, testing and commissioning activities.
• Manage site manpower, equipment, materials and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, consultants, clients and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of site activities.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, quality and resource requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements and safety standards.
• Lead daily toolbox talks, safety briefings and risk assessments.
• Identify and resolve site issues and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Prepare and review daily progress reports, site records and handover documentation.
• Act as the primary site contact for clients and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, method statements, project procedures and applicable standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in HV power cable projects, preferably involving 132kV and above.
• Strong hands-on experience in HV cable installation, laying, pulling, jointing, termination, testing and commissioning.
• Experience working on utility or power transmission projects is highly preferred.
• Experience with DEWA, SEWA, FEWA or similar utility projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of site execution, project coordination, safety requirements and quality standards.
• Proven ability to manage site teams, subcontractors, equipment and resources.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively coordinate with clients, consultants, engineers and other project stakeholders.
