Job Description
The Site Manager (Civil) is responsible for the overall execution of civil works for the high-voltage substation project, ensuring that construction is completed safely, on time, in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards, and in coordination with other disciplines.
Description:
1- Overall management of civil construction activities, including earthworks, foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, roads, and drainage
2- Ensuring availability of required resources (manpower, equipment, materials, plants, tools, and safety gear, etc.)
3- Ensure construction is executed in accordance with approved IFC drawings, method statements, and project schedule
4- Overseeing work done by working groups, sub-contractors, and other agencies
5- Close coordination with all members of the execution team, supervisors, consultants, other agencies, and the client
6- Ensuring implementation of quality control requirements, procedures, and guidelines
7- Monitor daily site progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
8- Preparation and submission of daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, and attendance at progress review meetings.
9- Ensuring work execution as per standards, specifications, procedures, and good engineering practices
10- Ensuring inspections, measurements, and approvals of completed work quantities and initiating progress payment claims.
11- Review and close site NCRs, observations, and punch items
12- Ensuring site documentation, progress reports, instructions, and other records are properly maintained and safeguarded
13- Ensuring completion of job activities according to the approved work schedule and within approved budget targets

COMPETENCIES:
1 Practical experience in project site management, preferably in transmission substations construction overseas
2 Good understanding of project scheduling and cost control
3 Problem-solving and decision-making under site constraints
4 Familiarity with SEC/utility standards (preferred)
5 Good teamwork and interpersonal relationship qualities.
Educational degree:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
