As a SLP Team Leader, you will lead the Security & Loss Prevention team to safeguard people, assets, and inventory while ensuring compliance with security policies and operational standards across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and supervise the Security & Loss Prevention team to ensure effective day-to-day operations.
- Monitor site security activities and ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
- Conduct investigations into security incidents, inventory losses, theft, fraud, and policy violations, and prepare detailed reports.
- Analyze loss trends and identify opportunities to reduce shrinkage and operational risks.
- Coordinate with Operations, HR, Facilities, and other stakeholders to resolve security-related issues.
- Oversee access control, CCTV monitoring, and physical security measures across the site.
- Conduct routine security audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities.
- Ensure timely escalation and reporting of security incidents and emergencies.
- Support inventory control processes, stock counts, and loss prevention initiatives.
- Train and mentor team members on security procedures, incident response, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure all security records, incident logs, and documentation are maintained accurately and confidentially.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site security and operational efficiency.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Security, Loss Prevention, or Asset Protection, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of security operations, investigations, risk assessment, and loss prevention practices.
- Experience managing CCTV systems, access control systems, and incident management processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
- Professional security certifications are an advantage.
