Job Summary
Optimally implements all related procedures, WI, directions concerning the Storage Yards, Raw Materials, Refractories and Scrap; receiving, handling and supplying to SMP. Coordinating the sub-contractor manpower and observes all the plant s safety rules and regulations.
Coordinates with MH contractors and ensures waste & byproducts collection from production, transportation, stacking to facilitate uninterrupted production process and, disposal of wastes in compliance to environmental requirements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)
- Receives and verifies the materials received against the shipping/packing documents.
- Visually inspects materials and collects the required sample then send to the lab as per procedure.
- Immediately reports to the supervisor any discrepancy, damage and/or abnormality in the materials.
- Verifies the SMP s silos level (visual and/or through EAF/LF control rooms).
- Transfers materials from open yard to closed yard as per requirement and instructions.
- Carries out routine inspections of material handling systems and facilities and immediately reports to the supervisor any observations found.
- Receives and segregates different types of scrap as per yard plan.
- Follows up the preparation of scrap billets and skulls.
- Identifies the required scrap type and estimates the quantity for charging.
- Ensures efficient & Safe collection, transportation, segregation and stacking of waste & by-products for uninterrupted production processes
- Ensures effective disposal of non-hazardous wastes by efficient loading of disposal
- Shall be responsible for handling, storage and delivery of Raw material required for steel making plant operations as specified in the QS Program to ensure compliance to applicable Standards, ASME Code and Customer requirements.
