Job Title: Senior Control System Engineer
Location: Qatar
Primary Purpose
Responsible for managing and ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of control systems including DCS, ESD, SCADA, PLC, and turbine/compressor control systems. Provide engineering support, review technical documents, and oversee system upgrades and cybersecurity compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and apply engineering methods for control systems.
- Provide specialist support, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
- Review vendor/contractor documents and attend FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
- Manage system upgrades, cybersecurity, and long-term maintenance contracts.
- Ensure compliance with international standards and safety codes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in oil & gas, with at least 10 years in similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of control systems and industrial automation.
