Job Description

C2i is recruiting for Time Out Market, to build the team behind one of Abu Dhabi's most anticipated openings. We're looking for passionate professionals to join us as we prepare to open Abu Dhabi's first Time Out Market — a vibrant new destination for food, culture and entertainment under one roof!

ABOUT THE ROLE

We love what we do – and it shows! Time Out Market is the division of Time Out that brings our food and cultural experiences to life for our guests, readers and clients.

Our Market Gaming Supervisor provides outstanding guest service and product to ensure that each of our guests enjoys a memorable experience with every visit.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Supervise the daily operations of the gaming area to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Lead, motivate and supervise the Gaming Area Attendants
  • Oversee the Social Gaming Zone to ensure a safe, organised and high-quality environment
  • Conduct team briefings and communicate new operational updates, events and activations
  • Ensure emergency procedures are understood and followed by all team members
  • Monitor attendance, gaming activity and operational performance
  • Proactively greet guests, explain game rules and provide instructions on how to use the equipment
  • Encourage participation and create an energetic, inclusive atmosphere
  • Resolve customer inquiries and minor complaints promptly and professionally
  • Handle guest concerns, complaints and escalations professionally and efficiently
  • Enforce venue rules and gaming policies
  • Ensure games are used correctly and fairly
  • Monitor guest behaviour to ensure a safe and respectful environment
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or incidents and report them to management
  • Conduct regular inspections of gaming equipment and report maintenance requirements
  • Monitor gaming equipment to ensure it is functioning properly
  • Report technical issues or equipment damage to the maintenance team
  • Maintain accurate records for equipment usage, incident logs, accidents and operational issues
  • Handle payments and oversee the procurement of game cards or credits for timed experiences, as these attractions cannot operate via standard Tap & Pay systems
  • Keep the gaming area clean, organised and presentable at all times
  • Assist with upselling food, beverages or gaming packages when appropriate
  • Assist in achieving revenue targets through promotional activities and guest engagement
  • Encourage repeat visits by delivering outstanding customer service
  • Work effectively with other staff, including beverage runners and bartenders, to maintain seamless venue operations
  • Prepare daily operational reports and incident reports

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum of six months to one year of direct work experience
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and POS systems
  • Mathematical aptitude for handling transactions and game credits
  • Outstanding customer service orientation
  • Strong attention to detail and operational excellence
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, clients and the public
  • Ability to create and maintain a sense of urgency
  • Ability to maintain composure, personal integrity and a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude always and listen empathetically
  • Ability to work as a team, stay organised, handle various projects at one time, follow up and make accurate decisions
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Knowledge of guest relations, opening and closing duties, sanitation and safety, and high-volume operations
  • High School Diploma preferred

THE ENVIRONMENT

Restaurant environment with varying levels of noise and crowds depending on guest volume. The role is physically active — extended periods standing, moving at pace, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Varied shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays. A professional, neat and well-groomed appearance is required at all times.
