Overview
We are looking for a Social Media & Community professional to own and drive social media presence across all platforms. This is a strategic, hands-on role that goes well beyond content publishing. The ideal candidate understands how to build a brand's voice in digital spaces, nurture an engaged community, and translate organizational priorities into content that resonates with global technology audiences.
The role sits at the center of digital communications, working across internal teams to gather requirements, manage a structured content calendar, and ensure every piece of content is purposeful, on-brand, and timely.
You will work closely with communications, video, and leadership teams to translate complex ideas and strategic briefs into compelling visual experiences across social media, campaigns, brand identity, and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Content Calendar Ownership
- Full ownership of the social media content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X
- Plan content weeks in advance while maintaining flexibility for reactive and real-time opportunities
- Ensure alignment with broader communications priorities
- Draft and edit post content, contribute to script ideation, and respond to community messages
- Apply strong social writing skills across all content outputs
Internal Stakeholder Management & Briefing
- Work with internal teams across communications, research, events, thought leadership, and partner organizations
- Gather content requirements and translate complex information into clear social media briefs
- Manage timelines, expectations, and deliverables across stakeholders
- Act as the operational bridge between organizational priorities and social media execution
Content Publishing & Platform Management
- Manage day-to-day publishing across all platforms
- Ensure content is correctly formatted, captioned, and scheduled for each channel
- Adapt content appropriately for platform-specific formats, audiences, and behaviors (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X)
Community Management
- Actively engage with the online community across all platforms
- Respond to comments, manage direct messages, and participate in relevant industry conversations
- Contribute directly to brand perception through consistent and proactive engagement
- Introduce new ideas from the social media landscape to enhance audience engagement
Analytics, Reporting & Platform Intelligence
- Own social media analytics and performance reporting across all platforms
- Track key metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth, impressions, and link clicks
- Produce regular reports for internal stakeholders
- Provide meaningful analysis and data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
- Stay updated on platform algorithm changes, emerging formats, and relevant trends in technology, innovation, and research sectors
- Use insights from data and platform behavior to inform and refine content strategy

Necessary Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 6–8 years of professional social media experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or lead capacity
- Demonstrated track record of managing multi-platform social media strategies, ideally within technology, innovation, research, or government sectors
- Strong experience in content calendar management, internal stakeholder coordination, and community engagement at scale
- Familiarity with structured organisational environments requiring multiple layers of review and approval is an advantage
- A data-driven approach to social media is essential
Education and Certification Requirements
- Degree in digital marketing, digital media, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience and a strong portfolio of managed social media accounts
- Certifications in social media marketing (LinkedIn Marketing, Meta Blueprint, TikTok Academy, Hootsuite) are a strong advantage
- Proficiency in AI tools for content creation, automation, and trend analysis
