Role Purpose:
Lead stakeholder engagement, community outreach, and communication activities for power/energy related projects, ensuring effective Stakeholder Engagement Plan implementation and Environmental and Social Frameworkaligned communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the Stakeholder Engagement Plan
- Manage community and worker grievance mechanisms.
- Facilitate consultations during Environmental and Social Impact Assessment/ Environmental and Social Management Plan updates and construction.
- Supervise Community Liaison Officers
- Ensure SEA/SHsensitive and culturally appropriate communication.
- Prepare stakeholder engagement inputs for monthly/quarterly ESHS reports.
- Engage local authorities, communities, and vulnerable groups.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, social sciences, development studies, or PR.
- 810 years of stakeholder engagement experience in infrastructure/energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of Environmental & Social Framework or similar IFI frameworks.
- Fluency in Arabic; strong communication and facilitation skills.
