Software Business Analyst
Location: Sheikh Zayed/GrEEK Campus - Office
Employment Type: Full-Time, 1 year Contract.

OneFurever pet's mobile app looking for a Software Business Analyst who will bridges business needs and tech teams, translating goals into requirements, user stories, and specs for developers, ensuring software delivers real value by analyzing workflows, facilitating communication, defining solutions, and testing, acting as a crucial link throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
We expect to see candidates who works closely with stakeholders to identify goals, develop best practices for data collection, and analyze current processes to determine what can be improved to ensure new software aligns with organizational objectives and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform business model decisions.
- Requirements: Elicit, analyze, document (user stories, acceptance criteria, specifications), and prioritize requirements from stakeholders.
- Analysis: Study business processes, identify inefficiencies, and analyze data to recommend IT solutions and improvements.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams (developers, testers) to prevent misunderstandings.
- Solution Design: Define and validate solutions, sometimes creating models and diagrams, ensuring they meet business and technical needs.
- Process Improvement: Champion initiatives for workflow optimization, user experience enhancement, and continuous improvement.
- Defining Monetization Strategy: Collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement effective monetization methods (e.g., subscription models, pay-per-use, feature tiers, bundling) that align with business goals and customer expectations.
- Financial Modeling and Reporting: Developing financial models to forecast revenue impact, track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and monthly recurring revenue (MRR), and presenting these insights via dashboards and reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related fields.
- 2-5+ years in IT BA, data analysis, or similar roles, working with software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Understanding of software development principles and IT systems.
- Agile Methodologies: Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Lean principles, iterative development, backlog management, sprint cycles, and ceremonies (stand-ups, reviews).
- Proficiency for a software business analyst (BA) spans data analysis (Excel, SQL) project/requirements management (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps), process modeling (Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io, Figma), Agile tools (Jira), diagramming software (Visio, Lucidchart).
- Experience in analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
- Basic knowledge in generating process documentation
- Fluency in English
