Job Description
The purpose of this position is to develop and improve process automation and enhancements of systems including Sorbonne
space system. The position will lead the changes and enhancements in Sorbonne space and related processes. The position is to
enable IT to support the strategic objective of the university to transform, digitize and automate various business processes that
are currently manual. As part of the business application team this individual is expected to have in-depth knowledge and
experience in business analysis, software design, development, and support. The ideal candidate is skilled in ADSF, Dot Net,
C#, XML, JSON, or any front-end technologies utilized on Microsoft applications especially SharePoint and Azure in an agile
environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Portal Development: Lead the development and management of a MS SharePoint Online Web portal, providing
technical support and ensuring its smooth operation.
Process Automation: Collaborate cross-functionally to identify, design, and execute process automation solutions
using PowerApps and Power Automate. This includes creating custom connectors and flows to automate data
integration and streamline complex workflows.
Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing enhancements of existing systems and applications, optimizing for efficiency
and enhancing the overall user experience. Identify opportunities for performance tuning and system optimization.
SharePoint Expertise: Develop and maintain SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists, and workflows to support critical
business processes. Utilize SharePoint Framework (SPFX) to create custom web parts and extensions, enhancing the
platform's capabilities.
API Integration: Integrate diverse systems and services through meticulous API development and integration. Craft
secure, RESTful APIs and implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms.
Workflow Management: Build and manage intricate workflows using Microsoft Flow and Nintex Workflows, ensuring
efficient data and process management.
Documentation: Develop and maintain thorough documentation throughout the software development life cycle
(SDLC), ensuring that it remains current and accessible to the team.
Technology Consultation: Consult with users, advising them on best practices in utilizing various technologies for
automation, integration, and meeting evolving business requirements.
Project Management: Assume responsibility for managing project scope, task prioritization, deliverables, quality
control, communication, resource allocation, and integration with other strategic initiatives.
Project Oversight: Track internal project milestones and supervise outsourced projects to ensure alignment with
organizational goals and timely completion.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure the reliability and security of developed
applications. Implement rigorous unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing procedures.
Comprehensive Documentation: Create, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation for software
applications, processes, and solutions, ensuring accessibility to the entire team.
Profile (Minimum Qualifications, Minimum Experience, Job Specific Skills)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree in a related field
Certificates in related technology
Required Experience:
4-5 or more years of experience in system development life cycle, application development, application security,
application management, MS SharePoint and ASP.Net
Proven experience in developing and implementing process automation solutions using Power Platform (PowerApps
and Power Automate).
Strong proficiency in SharePoint Online development, including creating custom lists, libraries, and workflows.
Familiarity with SharePoint Framework (SPFX) is a plus.

Proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular or
React.js, and responsive web design.
Microsoft .NET, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Java, J2EE, SOAP, REST, Web services, Tomcat, XML, JMS,
WS*, and SOA/Integration technologies Preferred.
Strong experience in Workflow Manager, Nintex Workflows
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Available to work after hours and/or weekends and on-call, as specified by supervisor
Preferred Experience:
5 or more years of experience in higher education technology.
Working knowledge of the Ellucian Banner, Blackboard, Salesforce CRM, Argos BI, Oracle & SQL databases.
Required Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:
High level of proficiency in System Development Life Cycle
Experience in Systems Architecture and Integration using REST APIs
Information Security knowledge and experience, including understanding of information security principals, policies,
and standards.
Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (Oracle)
Experience with SQL/PLSQL scripting, JAVA coding and development tools
Knowledge of operating systems Windows/Linux
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage and prioritize workload to deliver high quality work products on time with minimal direction.
