About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET-II) to join our Engineering team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our products by developing scalable automation frameworks and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust UI and API automation frameworks.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
- Identify, debug, report, and track software defects.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and code reviews.
- Continuously improve test automation frameworks and QA processes.
Tools & Technologies We Use
- Java, Javascript, Playwright (UI Automation), Rest Assured (API Automation), K6 (Performance Automation)
- Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, Bit bucket
- JIRA Defect tracking and task creation tool
Expectation From Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of experience in Automation/SDET roles are mandatory.
- Mandatory excellent programming skills in Java / Javascript (Should be ready to work any language).
- Good knowledge of basic data structure.
- Mandatory experience in API Automation.
- Suggest / Make framework enhancements to accommodate the scripting needs.
- Enthusiasm to improve automation coverage.
- Should spend 30% time in script maintenance and analysis of results and creation of bugs.
- Should spend time in understanding features in customer perspective.
- Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and create testing plans and written reports showing errors.
- Should be able to work in a startup/dynamic environment.
- Able to mentor fellow testers and guide them.
