Software Engineer, AVP

Role Overview

As Head of Engineering, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of innovative, customer-centric, high-performance, secure, and robust software solutions. You will work within feature teams to deliver complex software, scripts, and tools, collaborating with engineers, architects, and business analysts to ensure technology solutions add maximum value to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineer and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions
• Produce complex and critical software rapidly while maintaining quality standards
• Oversee teams responsible for the full software lifecycle, from development through maintenance and decommissioning
• Design, produce, test, and implement working code using best practices
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimise software engineering capability and processes
• Translate business and product requirements into technical solutions and APIs
• Develop and maintain SQL Server databases and integrate systems through API development
• Ensure programming best practices are followed, focusing on scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability, and performance

Required Experience and Knowledge

• Strong background in software engineering, software design, and software architecture
• Hands-on experience with development and testing tools, bug tracking tools, and wikis
• Expertise in C#, .NET Core framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and ReactJS
• Experience designing SQL Server databases and developing APIs
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end software solutions with cross-functional collaboration
• Familiarity with implementing programming best practices, including scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability, and performance
