Client Project | 3-Month Full-Time Engagement
About The Opportunity
We are hiring on behalf of our client for a Software QA Engineer to support a fintech project focused on financial services and payment solutions.
This is a 3-month project-based engagement, during which the selected candidate will work full-time for the duration of the project. The role will involve working closely with development and product teams to ensure the quality, reliability, and functionality of fintech applications and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and edge-case testing across fintech applications and services.
- Test key financial workflows, including payments, financing, customer onboarding, settlements, and loan-related processes.
- Use Postman to perform API testing, including creating and managing collections and environments.
- Analyze application and server logs to investigate issues, trace failures, and support root-cause analysis.
- Use SQL queries to validate and verify data following transactions and business processes.
- Identify, document, and track defects using the project's ticketing/defect management system, ensuring issues are clearly described and followed through to resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to investigate defects and verify fixes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and other QA activities.
- Ensure adequate test coverage and contribute to improving overall software quality and testing practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience working in Software Quality Assurance / Software Testing.
- Hands-on experience with functional, regression, integration, and edge-case testing.
- Experience writing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Practical experience with Postman and API testing.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and verification.
- Ability to read and analyze application and server logs to troubleshoot issues.
- Experience using defect/ticket management systems.
- Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Previous experience in the Fintech or financial services domain is highly preferred, particularly in areas such as payments, financing, onboarding, settlements, or loans.
