The Software Quality Engineer is responsible for preparing and executing various types of software tests to ensure the quality, performance, and functionality of system components. This role includes identifying and troubleshooting system defects, validating technical changes in pre-production environments, and preparing detailed test reports for all implemented changes within large-scale IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute a variety of software tests to ensure system quality, performance, and functional compliance.
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot system errors and defects, and coordinate with development teams to ensure proper resolution.
- Test and validate technical changes and enhancements in pre-production environments.
- Prepare comprehensive test reports for all technical changes, documenting findings, defects, and recommendations.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test scenarios aligned with project requirements.
- Participate in improving testing processes, methodologies, and tools to maintain high-quality standards.
- Work closely with development, operations, and project teams to ensure seamless integration and system reliability.
- Ensure that testing activities align with organizational policies, project timelines, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality testing for large-scale IT systems.
- Strong knowledge of functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ability to design and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
- Experience using defect tracking and test management tools.
- Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical thinking and high attention to detail in identifying and documenting defects.
