Software Quality Engineer

Role Overview:

We are hiring highly experienced Quality Engineers to own test strategy and execution across our web app, mobile apps (iOS/Android), and AI/RAG-powered backend. This is a senior IC role, and you'll set quality standards, not just execute test plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own test strategy across functional, regression, integration, and non-functional testing.
• Design and maintain automated test suites (API, UI, and/or mobile) alongside manual exploratory testing.
• Write and maintain comprehensive test cases and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering during sprint planning to ensure testability of user stories.
• Lead test planning for release readiness, including regression scope for each Sprint/Release cycle.
• Identify, document, and triage defects; drive root-cause analysis with engineering.
• Contribute to CI/CD test integration and quality gates.
• Mentor junior QA and help mature testing practices across our engineering teams.
• Apply special care to testing AI/RAG features (response quality, edge cases, hallucination checks) and specialist-facing workflows.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 7+ years in QA/Quality Engineering, including test automation experience.
• Strong experience writing test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria (Gherkin/BDD a plus).
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs (Postman, RestAssured, or similar).
• Experience with mobile app testing (iOS/Android) and/or web UI automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools for test case and defect management.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum ceremonies as an embedded QA.
• Performance, security and accessibility testing experience.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
• Nice to have experience testing AI/LLM or RAG-based features.
• Nice to have experience in healthcare, wellness, or other regulated/data-sensitive domains.
