What you will be doin
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Quality Lead to join our dynamic tech startup. As the Software Quality Lead, you will be responsible for leading an entire team of quality assurance professionals and overseeing the process of manual and automated testing for various platforms, including mobile, web, and other technologies. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of quality assurance engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and success
- Develop and implement a comprehensive software testing strategy, encompassing both manual and automated testing approaches, for mobile, dashboard, and other relevant platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and design, to establish quality standards, define testing requirements, and ensure alignment with business goals
- Design, implement, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly validate software functionality, performance, and usability
- Drive the adoption of best practices, tools, and methodologies for software quality assurance, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and test automation
- Identify and prioritize areas for improvement in the software development lifecycle to enhance overall quality and efficiency
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments of the testing process to identify bottlenecks, risks, and optimize resource allocation
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in software quality assurance to continuously improve the team's capabilities
- Provide timely and accurate reports on testing progress, test coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders and senior management
- Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and innovation within the team and across the organization
Who you are
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in leading a team of quality assurance professionals in an agile software development environment
- Strong expertise in manual and automated testing techniques, tools, and frameworks for mobile, dashboard, and other relevant platforms
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies, SDLC, and quality assurance principles
- Proficient in using test management and defect tracking tools
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software products
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus
