Job Summary

The Software Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of client accounts by selling software solutions that align with customer business needs, preferably with experience in industrial or commercial companies. This role focuses on revenue growth, renewals, up-selling, and long-term relationship management, acting as the primary point of contact between the company and its customers.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Customer Relationships

  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for assigned accounts
  • Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Conduct regular account reviews and strategic planning sessions
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Own revenue targets for assigned accounts
  • Drive renewals, up-sell, and cross-sell opportunities
  • Manage the full sales cycle for account expansion
  • Prepare proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations

Customer Retention & Collaboration

  • Partner with Customer Success and Support teams
  • Identify churn risks and implement retention strategies
  • Monitor customer health, adoption, and satisfaction

Product & Market Knowledge

  • Maintain strong knowledge of software offerings and road-map
  • Understand industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Share customer feedback with product and leadership teams

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts
  • Track KPIs including revenue growth and renewal rates

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 13+ years of B2B software sales or account management experience
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • SaaS or enterprise software sales experience
  • CRM experience (Salesforce, Hub-spot, etc.)
  • Understanding of subscription-based business models
  • Experience in industrial or commercial companies is highly preferred
