We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Tester to join our dynamic e-commerce team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring software quality in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Design: Collaborate with the development and product teams to design test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
- Bug Tracking and Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- API Testing: Performing API testing using Postman or Swagger.
- Database Testing: Understanding of writing SQL queries for data validation.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionality.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on test coverage, risks, and quality concerns.
- Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in manual and automation testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: +3 years of experience in the e-commerce domain.
- Technical Skills:
- Functional Testing, API Testing, Database Testing & Reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle issues in complex systems.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: ISTQB Certification or similar is a plus.
- E-commerce Experience: Previous experience working in the e-commerce industry.
- Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
