Your new role
- End-to-End Solution Design: Lead the architecture of scalable and secure banking solutions that align with the bank's strategic goals and technical roadmap.
- Domain Leadership: Leverage deep expertise in Retail, Corporate, or Wealth Management to translate complex business challenges into robust technical architectures.
- Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging platforms and tools within the banking industry, providing expert recommendations for integration into the existing IT landscape.
- System Integration: Define high-level integration strategies to ensure seamless interoperability between core banking systems, payment gateways, and digital front-ends.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to international security standards, data privacy laws, and regional regulatory requirements.
- Performance & Risk: Identify opportunities for optimization and scalability while proactively mitigating technical risks and dependencies across the project lifecycle.
- Governance & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive architectural diagrams and design artifacts, ensuring all solutions meet strict internal governance processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience: 10+ years as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead specifically within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
- Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in Java Microservices, MS Azure, Kubernetes, and UI Front-end frameworks (specifically Flutter).
- Architecture Expertise: Strong command of API Gateway design, Enterprise Integration platforms, and database architecture.
- Banking Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of banking products (Payments, Cards, KYC) and regulatory reporting solutions.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
- Location: Currently based in the UAE (highly preferred).
- Desirable: TOGAF or Azure Solutions Architect certifications are a significant advantage.
