For one of our clients, we are looking for a Solution Architect Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Migration to join a healthcare transformation program.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end OCI landing zone architecture (compute, network, storage, IAM) aligned with Oracle's certified Cerner-on-OCI reference architecture
- Lead technical design for migrations across production, test, training, and DR domains
- Architect network connectivity between on-premises data centers and OCI (e.g., FastConnect, VCN, hybrid DNS/AD extension)
- Define data replication and database migration strategy for Cerner Millennium databases (e.g., Oracle GoldenGate, Data Guard, or equivalent)
- Own non-functional requirements: performance benchmarking, availability SLAs, RTO/RPO targets, and disaster recovery design
- Lead technical risk assessment and mitigation planning for cutover, hyper care, and legacy decommissioning
- Collaborate with Oracle Health delivery teams, security/compliance leads, and clinical stakeholders to validate solution designs
- Produce and maintain architecture decision records, solution design documents, and technical runbooks
- Support Millennium application code-level upgrade planning in coordination with the OCI migration timeline
- Participate in change control governance for scope/design changes during the program
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 12+ years in solution/enterprise architecture roles, including at least 3 years on cloud migration programs
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks including TOGAF and Zachman
- Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards: HL7v2, FHIR, CCDA
- Experience with database replication/migration tools: Oracle GoldenGate, Data Guard or equivalent
- Experience with data architecture and virtualization technologies such as Teradata, IBM Netezza, Denodo
- Understanding of healthcare data protection regulations and security frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with Oracle Health (Cerner)-managed hosting transitions
- Experience designing dedicated connectivity (e.g., FastConnect / ExpressRoute-class)
- Exposure to disaster recovery architecture in regulated/clinical environments
