Role Overview:
The Solutions Architect – Infrastructure serves as the architectural authority for infrastructure solutions across pre-sales and internal engineering. The role is accountable for defining standard reference architectures, sizing models, and baseline Bills of Materials (BOQs) that enable consistent, scalable, and commercially sound proposals. The role provides targeted architectural guidance, producing high-level designs and validating solution and BOQ integrity prior to final submission.
The Solutions Architect contributes to internal architecture governance by driving infrastructure standardization and aligning enterprise architecture frameworks, design principles, and approval processes in close collaboration with engineering teams and domain experts.
Role Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain standard infrastructure reference architectures, sizing models, and baseline Bills of Materials (BOQs) to support scalable and consistent pre-sales proposals.
- Act as the technical authority for infrastructure design validation and final BOQ sign-off across all customer opportunities.
- Provide architectural guidance and approval for complex or non-standard customer scenarios, including high-level designs and solution validation.
- Ensure all proposed solutions align with approved standards, delivery capabilities, and operational requirements.
- Drive infrastructure standardization across compute, storage, and network domains in close collaboration with engineering teams.
- Establish and evolve enterprise infrastructure architecture principles, reference models, and design guardrails.
- Own infrastructure design review and approval processes, ensuring architectural consistency and governance.
- Serve as the architectural interface between Pre-Sales, Systems Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Enable pre-Sales through reusable architectural assets, reference designs, and clear technical guidance.
- Engage with strategic vendors and partners to validate reference architectures, assumptions, and solution alignment when required
Required experience & Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 7–10 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, solutions architecture, or senior systems engineering roles.
- Strong background in designing enterprise and AI/HPC infrastructure across compute, storage, and networking domains.
- Proven experience producing high-level architectures, sizing models, and Bills of Materials for customer-facing proposals.
- Ability to balance technical design with commercial and delivery requirements.
- Experience defining and enforcing infrastructure standards, reference architectures, and design governance.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end solution lifecycle, from pre-sales design through delivery and operations.
- Ability to act as a final technical authority and make architecture decisions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey complex designs clearly and concisely.
- Experience working with major infrastructure vendors and ecosystem partners; relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
