The Digital Solution Architect (Telco) is responsible for designing end-to-end digital solutions across the complete Telco IT stack, translating business requirements into scalable, standards-aligned architectures. The role bridges pre-sales, solution design, and delivery — partnering with operators, internal teams, and technology vendors to architect BSS/OSS, digital channels, and cloud-native platforms that drive operator transformation and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end digital solutions spanning BSS, OSS, digital channels, and customer engagement platforms.
- Develop solution blueprints, HLDs, LLDs, integration architectures, and deployment topologies aligned to TM Forum frameworks (eTOM, SID, TAM, ODA).
- Define API strategies leveraging TMF Open APIs (TMF620, TMF622, TMF629, TMF637, TMF641, etc.) and event-driven integration patterns.
- Architect cloud-native, microservices-based solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead solution discovery workshops with telecom operators across consumer, B2B, and wholesale segments..
- Apply deep knowledge of the full Telco IT stack: CRM, Order Management, Product Catalog, Billing & Charging (CBS), Revenue Management, Mediation, Provisioning, Service Activation, Inventory, Assurance, and Analytics.
- Provide architectural oversight during implementation, ensuring designs are realized faithfully and risks are mitigated.
- Review integration designs, data models, and non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, availability).
- Support program managers on technical risk management, change requests, and scope governance.
Requirements
- 10+ years in telecom IT, with hands-on architecture experience across at least two of: BSS, OSS, Digital Channels, Data & Analytics.
- Experience with digital channels (web, mobile, eSHOP, self-care), CPQ, and partner/dealer ecosystems.
- TOGAF certified or equivalent enterprise architecture experience.
- Strong grasp of TM Forum frameworks (eTOM, SID, TAM, ODA, Open APIs).
- Experience with microservices, API gateways, event streaming (Kafka), and integration platforms
- Excellent communication and storytelling — able to present to both technical teams and C-level executives.
- Workshop facilitation and stakeholder management across multi-vendor environments.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or Telecommunications.
- Experience in MEA, GCC, or similar emerging-market telecom transformations
