About The Role

The Sorting Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire sorting facility operations, ensuring that all inbound and outbound shipments are received, sorted, and dispatched accurately and on time. The role focuses on maintaining operational efficiency, safety standards, and team productivity within the facility.

This role requires a hands-on operational leader with a full understanding of the end-to-end sorting operations cycle. The manager will be capable of analyzing team productivity, allocating tasks effectively, planning for volumes and manpower, and optimizing facility layout for maximum efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage daily flow operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks
  • Monitor scanning performance and provide accurate feedback to other parties
  • Ensure sorting processes are executed according to company standards, optimizing for speed, accuracy, and cost efficiency
  • Coordinate with (FM) & Last Mile (LM) departments to guarantee correct dispatch and route allocation
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and quality control procedures within the facility
  • Manage and motivate a team of supervisors, seniors, and warehouse staff to achieve operational goals
  • Track operational metrics and take corrective actions when needed to maintain performance standards
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on operational performance, manpower utilization, and facility efficiency
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance facility layout, process flow, and staff performance
  • Possess a full understanding of the complete operations cycle to ensure seamless coordination across all stages of sorting operations
  • Analyze team productivity and performance metrics to optimize workforce efficiency and output
  • Plan and allocate tasks effectively based on volume forecasts, operational priorities, and manpower availability
  • Design and optimize facility layout to improve workflow efficiency, reduce handling time, and enhance safety
  • Lead volume planning and manpower forecasting to ensure operational readiness and cost-effective resource utilization

Job Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in warehouse or sorting facility operations management
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end operational processes and workflow optimization
  • Experience in planning and managing team productivity, task allocation, and facility layout
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate high-performing teams
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting, performance monitoring, and volume forecasting
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards in warehouse operations
  • Ability to adapt to changing operational demands and manage multiple priorities efficiently
