The Sourcing Section Head is responsible for leading strategic sourcing activities, identifying and developing reliable supplier networks, and ensuring cost-effective procurement aligned with organizational goals. This role works closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Production, and Quality Control, to drive innovation, supplier performance, and contract excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure a sustainable and competitive supply base.
Collaborate closely with R&D to introduce new Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and product samples.
Coordinate with Production, R&D, and Quality Control teams to follow up on trial results and ensure timely feedback.
Lead negotiations for long-term contracts and agreements to secure favorable commercial terms.
Implement and manage strategic sourcing methodologies, including spending pools optimization.
Conduct comprehensive spend analysis and drive cost-saving initiatives with measurable ROI.
Strengthen supplier relationships and actively promote high-performing vendors within the organization.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
Utilize ERP systems effectively to manage sourcing processes, reporting, and supplier data.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
Experience: 8–10 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in a chemical or manufacturing environment.
Language: Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
Strong knowledge of contract management and negotiation strategies.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Solid understanding of procurement best practices and supplier management.
