Job Purpose:
Job-holder is responsible for managing the sourcing of food, beverages, and non-food items for the Company, ensuring effective vendor management and competitive procurement practices. The role requires a strong ability to conduct sourcing activities across diverse spending categories, identify cost-effective and high-quality suppliers, and secure favourable terms to support operational efficiency. It aims to improve supplier performance and service quality, position the Company as a preferred client, and ensure full compliance with HSQE requirements across all sourcing and contractual activities.
Key Result Areas:
- Execute supplier negotiations and finalize award recommendations, establishing contracts that optimize cost savings, quality, and service levels.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize and align purchasing activities, ensuring timely and effective fulfilment of business needs.
- Establish SMART objectives for sourcing initiatives and provide regular, objective feedback to support performance improvement and achievement of target.
- Lead and implement cost-saving initiatives to deliver measurable financial benefits and enhance overall business profitability and efficiency.
- Negotiate supplier contracts to maximize value, maintain high service quality standards and enhance supplier performance for the Company.
- Implement innovative sourcing strategies by researching new products and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of sourcing activities.
- Monitor and report category spend, savings, and supplier performance, offering insights that supports strategic decision-making.
- Strengthen supplier relationships to position the Company as a preferred client and promote continuous service and performance improvements.
- Utilize e-Sourcing and e-Procurement tools to drive efficiency and derive optimal results from supplier engagements and sourcing opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies by integrating relevant requirements into all sourcing and contract documents to support a safe and responsible procurement process.
Education Qualification:
a) Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
b) Professional qualification in procurement (e.g., MCIPS or equivalent).
Work Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of overall experience with 3 years in a relevant field preferred.
- Area of Experience: Hands-on experience in procurement or category management, ideally within the aviation, airline catering, or hospitality industries.
Skills:
- Proficient understanding of both F&B and Non-F&B procurement categories.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP, enabling efficient management of procurement processes.
- Familiarity with effective sourcing techniques and vendor relationship management to drive cost-efficiency and quality.
Understanding of contractual terms and conditions to ensure favourable and compliant agreements with suppliers.
