Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality meal preparation, and maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and hygiene standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in large-scale meal production, preferably with knowledge of healthy and Indian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation

·      Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth workflow during production

·      Maintain consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation

·      Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards

·      Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock ordering and control

·      Train and guide junior kitchen staff and interns

·      Support menu planning with a focus on nutrition and balanced meals

·      Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of meals

·      Uphold the mission of Meals on Me by preparing meals with care and consistency.

Qualifications:

·    Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

·    Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.

·    Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.

·    Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

·    Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

·    Good understanding of food safety standards and HACCP

·    Passionate about nutrition.

·    Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

·    Quality and consistency in following organizations set standards.

Physical Requirements:

·    Ability to stand for extended periods.

·    Flexible Shifts

·    Capable of lifting heavy pots and ingredients.
