Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time SEN Teacher / Tutor in Abu Dhabi to support students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with children and young people across a wide spectrum of special educational needs, delivering personalized support that promotes both academic progress and overall development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and/or small group teaching sessions

• Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each student's needs

• Support students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs

• Adapt teaching strategies, resources, and lesson plans to ensure accessibility and engagement

• Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents/guardians

• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

• Build strong relationships with students to enhance confidence, independence, and motivation

• Collaborate with parents, schools, and other professionals where required

• Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress, and outcomes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field

• Proven experience working with students with special educational needs

• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Patience, empathy, and a student-centered approach

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
