Role Description

The Special Event Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing live events and brand experiences from concept through post-event evaluation.

Day-to-day tasks include developing event concepts and timelines, coordinating with internal creative and production teams, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing logistics such as venues, technical setup, staffing, and on-site operations. The Special Event Manager will prepare budgets, track expenses, and ensure events are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client objectives and brand guidelines. The role also involves client communication, managing approvals, handling last-minute changes, and ensuring a seamless attendee experience while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in event planning and management, including live experiences, corporate events, brand activations, or special projects.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple events, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Proficiency in vendor and supplier management, contract negotiation, and budget oversight.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, partners, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work on-site at events, manage operations under pressure, and solve problems quickly and calmly.
• Knowledge of event production processes, logistics, health and safety standards, and basic technical requirements (AV, staging, lighting) is beneficial.
• Creative mindset with an understanding of marketing, brand experience, and audience engagement strategies.
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in the UAE or GCC region and familiarity with local suppliers and regulations is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours based on event schedules.
