Role Description
The Specialist and Consultant in Plastic Surgery is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. The specialist will perform consultations, evaluate patient needs, and recommend appropriate surgical and non-surgical interventions in line with best practices and safety standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting pre-operative assessments, performing plastic and reconstructive procedures, managing post-operative care, and monitoring patient recovery. The role involves maintaining accurate medical records, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing clear, empathetic communication to patients regarding risks, benefits, and expected outcomes. The consultant will also participate in case reviews, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and stay current with advances in plastic surgery through ongoing education and training.
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible physician in Plastic Surgery, with valid medical license to practice in Egypt.
- Demonstrated experience in aesthetic and reconstructive procedures, including pre-operative planning and post-operative management.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills, with the ability to design personalized treatment plans.
- Excellent patient communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to respectful, non-discriminatory care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed medical documentation and adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including participation in training, conferences, and evidence-based practice updates.
- Experience in a hospital or clinic setting is strongly preferred; familiarity with modern medical technologies and tools is beneficial.
