JOB PURPOSE

Support the implementation of asset life extension program in safe and cost effective manner to ensure asset sustainability and long term budget visibility for extended life of Assets in the Rotary Equipment discipline and support companywide Centre of Excellence in relevant areas. Support the capability and systems to extend asset life and improves the ways in which asset life extension activities are carried out across all plant and pipeline assets in order to increase ALEM effectiveness, efficiency & standardization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Policy & Standards, Processes & Practices

  • Prepare and maintain standards, procedures, guidelines to allow effective management of extended asset life, based on relevant International Standards, best practices and shareholder requirements.
  • Support integrated ALEM program including associated processes, tools and techniques, identifying internal & external factors that could influence this program.
  • Supports ALEM improvement opportunities and required actions for effective implementation by providing necessary support to site and implementation team.
  • Provide discipline wide expert advice and assistance to address common & major challenges and to ensure that the enhanced ways of working are understood, supported and become the normal way of working across the Company.
  • Support in providing sufficient visibility and promote awareness on effectively managing ALEM threats, enabling company to demonstrate that specific & appropriate considerations are given to these threats
  • Support opportunities for enhancing the system safely extend life of assets operating beyond or approaching their useful/original design life in cost-effective manner and provide risk/cost-effective decision making approach, ensuring all critical drivers are satisfied and optimum ALEM options are determined.

Performance Monitoring

  • Support to the development of a coherent, accurate reporting system for asset life extension status and related processes to provide basis for management decisions at all levels of the company. Assist with monitoring, reporting and recommending areas for improvement against these reports.
  • Support the implementation of systems for periodic process reviews/audits in order to reinforce the sustained implementation of new ways of working.

Community and Networks

  • Actively participate in applicable ALEM forum discussions to maximise the benefit to the company, providing discipline wide knowhow & quality support to operating assets on relevant areas.
  • Support proactive attitude towards Excellence for asset life extension, challenging entrenched practices in order to be aligned with relevant World Class practices.
  • Support and maintain an open and transparent process that ensures, where applicable, stakeholders are informed and involved in related matters & discussions.
  • Actively support to the competence development of the ALEM skills across company sites to ensure current and future capability is in place to meet the business needs.

Supervision

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective functional objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 8 years of experience in large oil & gas facility with exposure to design, engineering and maintenance.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance, inspection, testing & integrity requirements associated with Rotary Equipment and fair understanding of other discipline assets in gas extraction and processing plant operations,u00A0.
  • Well versed in interpreting maintenance records, vendor notifications, obsolescence issues, test results, inspection and overhauling reports in order to analyse all the parameters affecting asset life and evaluate optimised option for life extension.
  • Project Management experience to plan and execute life extension studies
  • Knowledge of methods, system and techniques relevant to Asset Life Extension Management,
  • Knowledge of applicable and relevant standards and industry best practices,
  • Management skills related to the functional domain and disciplines,
  • Sound knowledge of HSE principles their application relevant to Oil & Gas industry.
