Key Responsibilities
- Conduct surgical procedures on patients with various cardiac conditions, including but not limited to, coronary bypass surgery, heart valve repair, and transplant surgeries
- Evaluate patients to determine appropriate treatment plans and surgical pathways
- Engage with cardiologists, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
- Monitor and manage post-operative recovery, addressing any complications or concerns
- Educate patients and families on procedures, risks, and post-surgical requirements
- Stay abreast of advancements in cardiac surgery and contribute to clinical research and education initiatives within the institution
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school, with a focus on Cardiac Surgery
- Board certification in Cardiac Surgery
- Valid medical license to practice in the UAE
- Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in complex cardiac surgical procedures within a reputable healthcare facility
- Strong knowledge of current cardiac health practices, technologies, and surgical techniques
- Exceptional communication skills for effective teamwork and patient interaction
- A proactive approach to patient care with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
