Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Specialist Endocrinologist who is fluent in Arabic to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and managing a wide range of endocrine and metabolic disorders while providing high-quality, patient-centered care to Arabic-speaking patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage endocrine disorders including diabetes, thyroid diseases, obesity, adrenal and pituitary disorders.
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient consultations for adult endocrine patients.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and long-term disease management strategies.
  • Manage complex diabetes cases, including insulin therapy and diabetic complications.
  • Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, diet, and chronic disease management.
  • Collaborate with internal medicine, nutrition, cardiology, and other specialties for integrated care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with DOH regulations.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and CME activities.
  • Ensure culturally sensitive communication with Arabic-speaking patients and families.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
  • Board Certification / Fellowship or equivalent specialization in Endocrinology.
  • Valid DOH Specialist License or Eligibility Letter in Endocrinology.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialist experience in a reputed healthcare institution.
  • Strong clinical expertise in diabetes and metabolic disorders.
  • Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and English (preferred).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in managing complex diabetes and endocrine cases in hospital settings.
  • Familiarity with modern diabetes technologies (insulin pumps, CGM systems).
  • Strong patient communication and counseling skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural healthcare environment.
