The Specialist Engineer QA/QC (Fabrication) is responsible for ensuring that all fabrication activities comply with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements within the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control fabrication activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, procedures, and standards
- Review and approve QA/QC documents such as ITPs, WPS, PQRs, and Method Statements
- Coordinate welding, inspection, and NDT activities
- Conduct inspections and witness tests during fabrication
- Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformances (NCRs) and corrective actions
- Ensure proper material identification, traceability, and documentation
- Prepare and review quality records and final dossiers
- Coordinate with fabrication teams, inspectors, and project stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 15+ years of experience in QA/QC fabrication within the oil and gas industry
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, and inspection
- Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.)
- Good communication and reporting skills
