A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its gastroenterology and digestive health services and is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Gastroenterologist to join its growing clinical team. Role Overview

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical environment alongside surgeons, hepatologists, oncologists, radiologists, dietitians, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals, supported by advanced diagnostic facilities, endoscopy services, and modern treatment infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal and digestive disorders including inflammatory bowel disease, acid reflux, liver-related conditions, gastrointestinal infections, and functional bowel disorders
  • Perform and interpret gastroenterology procedures such as upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and other diagnostic or therapeutic procedures within the approved scope of practice
  • Manage patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions through evidence-based treatment plans, medication management, and long-term follow-up
  • Evaluate and manage hepatobiliary disorders, nutritional concerns, and gastrointestinal complications in collaboration with relevant specialties
  • Collaborate with colorectal surgery, oncology, radiology, pathology, nutrition, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Provide patient counselling regarding diagnosis, treatment options, lifestyle modifications, preventive care, and disease management
  • Maintain compliance with clinical documentation, infection prevention, patient safety standards, quality improvement initiatives, and international healthcare guidelines

Requirements

  • American Board of Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
  • UK CCT / MRCP with Gastroenterology Training
  • European Board / National Specialist Certification in Gastroenterology
  • Royal College Certification (Canada)
  • Australian FRACP
  • Arab Board
  • MD / DNB / DM / FCPS or equivalent recognized specialist qualification
