JOB PURPOSE:
Provide support in creation of international affairs strategy, including developing and maintaining international relations. Provide support in the planning and implementation of related events within regional and international arena, and to UAE policy.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific:
u00B7 Assist in UAE international strategy on climate change and support UNFCCC and UN engagements
u00B7 Lead international partnerships and cooperation (bilateral and multilateral) and support partnerships and relationship with US administration and other key partners
u00B7 Lead strategy to host international events, including COP28
u00B7 Plan and implement UAE events to support the objectives.
u00B7 Support international negotiations on behalf of the UAE
u00B7 Keep abreast of developments in global climate change negotiations and timely inform the ADNOC Management and government counterparts.
u00B7 Develop technical and strategic position papers, presentations, advisory and briefing notes, as needed.
u00B7 Prepare regional/international inputs to policy briefs/position papers in collaboration with other practices that address links between climate change and any other related concerns.
u00B7 Support international communications and messaging.
u00B7 Support development of UAE domestic targets and strategies.

u00B7 Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
u00B7 Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
u00B7 Provide input for preparation of the Function/Division/Department/Section budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver objectives.
u00B7 Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

u00B7 Implement approved Function/Division/Department/Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
u00B7 Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function/Division/Department/ Section in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
u00B7 Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
u00B7 Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
u00B7 Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
u00B7 Provide inputs to prepare Function/Division/Department/Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance or equivalent
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
8 years of experience in Strategic relations, international relations etc
