Looking for Specialist Interventional Cardiologist, who aspire to be a part of the winning team and get associated with leading hospital based here in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
- Higher Professional Degree / Specialty certificate recognized by Ministry of Health in relevant area of specialization.
- Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or DO) followed by an Internal Medicine residency and a Cardiology fellowship.
- Subspecialty Training: Completed fellowship training specifically in Interventional Cardiology.
Licensing Details:
- In case you are holding active DHA/MOH/HADD license as Specialist Interventional Cardiology, you are welcome to apply for this position.
- In case you are going through eligibility process for DHA / MOH as Specialist Interventional Cardiology, you are also eligible to apply for this position.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of work experience since gaining higher qualification.
Roles & Responsibilities.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including balloon angioplasty, coronary stenting and primary PCI.
- Independently manage elective and emergency PCI, including STEMI and acute coronary syndromes.
- Manage acute cardiac emergencies, including myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock and other critical cardiac conditions.
- Evaluate and manage cardiology outpatients and inpatients, interpret relevant investigations and determine appropriate medical, interventional or surgical management.
- Participate in the 24/7 primary PCI/STEMI service and on-call Rota.
- Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiac surgeons, intensivists, nurses and Cath-lab technicians.
Essential Clinical & Interventional Skills
- Independent competency in elective and emergency PCI, including STEMI primary PCI – essential.
- Experience in complex coronary interventions, including bifurcation lesions, calcified and long lesions, left-main and high-risk PCI.
- Demonstrated competency in intracoronary imaging (IVUS and/or OCT) and coronary physiology assessment (FFR/iFR), including their application to PCI planning and optimization.
- Experience with thrombectomy when indicated and calcium-modification techniques, including rotational atherectomy and/or intravascular lithotripsy (IVL).
- Ability to recognize and independently manage PCI complications, including coronary perforation, dissection, no-reflow, acute vessel closure, cardiac tamponade and access-site bleeding, including emergency pericardiocentesis.
- Familiarity with IABP and mechanical circulatory support such as Impella, where available.
- Independent competency in temporary cardiac pacing; permanent pacemaker implantation experience is highly desirable and subject to appropriate credentialing.
- Strong clinical competency in ACS, heart failure, arrhythmias, cardiogenic shock, anticoagulation/antiplatelet therapy and CCU care.
- Competence in routine echocardiography; TEE competency would be an additional advantage.
