Specialist Lab Technician for Hydraulic Lab

Responsibilities:

• Technical skills working with physical model testing equipment, such as wave makers, sensors and data acquisition systems.
• Mechanical skills to install, operate, and maintain physical model testing equipment, including hydraulic systems, wave makers, and pumps. General idea of troubleshooting and repairing.
• Electrical skills to work with electrical components of the physical model testing equipment, including wiring and control systems. General knowledge of electrical safety and experience with electrical testing equipment.
• Comfort working with computers and with knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software packages in order to be able to collect data during experiments and present results in a clear and concise manner.
• Safety Skills to understand the possible hazards of the laboratory, safety regulations and procedures, and experience working with safety equipment such as protective clothing, goggles, and gloves. General knowledge of hazardous material handling, storage, and disposal would be good to have.
• Logistics skills to manage the inventory and keep accurate records of equipment, supplies, and experimental data.
• Tank maintenance including water quality control, cleaning, and repairing. General knowledge of various components of the tanks, such as filters, and drainage systems.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor or Three Year Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Experience particularly in hydraulic laboratory for physical model testing would be preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in similar role and environment
