A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its neonatal intensive care services and is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Neonatologist to join its growing clinical team. Role Overview

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary neonatal care environment alongside obstetricians, pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, anesthesiologists, neonatal nurses, respiratory therapists, and allied healthcare professionals, supported by a modern Level III/IV NICU equipped with advanced neonatal monitoring, ventilation, and diagnostic technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns requiring intensive and specialized neonatal care
  • Provide comprehensive care for neonatal conditions including respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal sepsis, jaundice, birth asphyxia, congenital anomalies, feeding disorders, and other complex neonatal conditions
  • Perform neonatal procedures within the scope of practice, including neonatal resuscitation, endotracheal intubation, umbilical catheterization, lumbar puncture, and stabilization of critically ill neonates
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, cardiologists, radiologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated multidisciplinary neonatal care
  • Counsel parents and families regarding neonatal conditions, treatment options, prognosis, discharge planning, and long-term developmental follow-up
  • Maintain compliance with patient safety standards, infection prevention protocols, clinical documentation, neonatal resuscitation guidelines, and international quality and clinical governance standards

Requirements

  • American Board of Pediatrics with Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Certification
  • UK CCT in Paediatrics with subspecialty training in Neonatal Medicine
  • European Board / National Specialist Certification in Neonatology
  • Royal College Certification (Canada)
  • Australian FRACP (Neonatal & Perinatal Medicine)
  • Arab Board
  • DM / DNB / Fellowship / FCPS or equivalent recognized specialist qualification in Neonatology
