Specialist, Smart Field (Surface Facilities)

JOB PURPOSE:
Provide technical expertise, in coordination with Field Development Division, for optimizing the value of oil and gas fields production and reservoir recovery through the introduction of real time dynamic modelling and effective monitoring to achieve balanced injection and production processes, including use of smart well completions to improve well surveillance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific:
u2022 Prepares technical background and summaries related to Digital Oil Field (DOE) concept for specific operational issues, as assigned.
u2022 Identifies and participates in the development of new technologies/solutions to improve operations practices. This includes evaluating the new technologies, selecting and recommending viable and appropriate solutions for implementation
u2022 Supports DOF programme related to rigless operations, testing and stimulation to ensure optimization of oil/gas producing wells, water supply and water/gas injection wells.
u2022 Participates in the commissioning and implementation of field trials. Includes monitoring testing activities, evaluating performance and operational results, drafting evaluation report and recommendations.
u2022 Survey the market and identify the most promising gas lift optimization techniques. Plan and implement pilots study for proof of concept and propose wide application if successful.
u2022 Identifies with the Petroleum Development units the use of downhole pressure, temperature, and flow rate and downhole control valve to support the DOF concept in all fields.
u2022 Provides necessary advice on remote monitoring, control and surveillance tools required for reservoir management and optimization of oil production, gas lift and gas injection.
u2022 Initiate project TOR (Terms of Reference) and SOW (scope of work) for DOF applications and Carry out technical evaluation for DOF projects.
u2022 Maps out key production management process and identify tools and data required to optimize process.

u2022 Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job

u2022 Provide input for preparation of the Unit / Divisional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver objectives.
u2022 Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

u2022 Implement approved Unit / Divisional policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.

u2022 Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Unit / Division in line Innovation and Continuous Improvement
u2022 Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
u2022 Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line

u2022 Comply with the ADNOC Onshore/ ADNOC HSE procedure requirements
u2022 Report all incident and occupational illness to line supervisor.
u2022 If aware of any unsafe practice or condition, or if in any doubt about the safety of any situation, immediately consult their Line supervisor.
u2022 Carryout the emergency responsibilities in line with the respective roles as per the emergency
Reports
u2022 Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management

COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIP:
Internal:
u2022 Frequent contacts with technical units, Field Operations, support units and CITD. External
u2022 Regular contacts with Services providers, Suppliers, Contractors, manufacturers, ADNOC and other
OPCOS.
External:
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
u2022 Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
u2022 10 years experience in petroleum engineering including workover, completion, well testing and production operations.
